Now Hiring: Community Living Supports (CLS) Manager
As a member of the Leadership Team, the CLS Manager shares responsibility for the overall growth and direction of L’Arche Portland. Guided by the mission of L’Arche Portland, the CLS Manager oversees the implementation and management of L’Arche Portland’s CLS program, which aims to provide ADL (activities of daily living) supports to adults with I/DD (intellectual & developmental disabilities) who live outside of our homes.
The CLS Manager reports to the Director of Care and will coordinate and support both Inclusion Assistants (direct support professionals) and our CLS clients.
Key Responsibilities:
PROGRAM IMPLEMENTATION & MANAGEMENT
Marketing & recruitment of CLS program clients and Inclusion Assistants
Screen and match potential CLS clients with Inclusion Assistants
Work with Director of Care to establish guidelines and policies for Inclusion Assistants
Support ongoing licensing requirements for the community living supports program
Establish and facilitate orientation of new CLS clients and Inclusion Assistants
Manage Inclusion Assistants Team
Meet weekly with Director of Care and attend Leadership Team Meeting as needed
DIRECT SUPPORT OF ADULTS WITH INTELLECTUAL DISABILITIES
Assist CLS clients with:
Activities of daily living (ADL’s): dressing, grooming, bathing, eating
Household maintenance: cleaning, meal planning, meal preparation
Administration of medications and treatments
Community outings & events, including connecting clients with L’Arche Portland programs and homes
Support CLS clients during emergency situations
Support the personal growth of CLS client through community engagement and relationships
Assist CLS clients to make choices
Complete all appropriate documentation
Requirements:
Embraces the mission and values of L’Arche
Preferred work experience supporting people with I/DD or direct caregiving experience
Preferred experience managing staff or volunteers with varying schedules
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively, while providing guidance to others
Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
Strong organizational skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Ability to lift at least 50 pounds
Current driver’s license and access to reliable transportation
At least 18 years of age
Criminal record check (completed as part of the application process)
Current Basic First Aid and Adult CPR certification (completed as part of the application process)
Benefits:
Base Wage: starting at $18.00/hour
Weekly Hours: 24hrs/week, with the opportunity to pick-up hours if supporting clients

Retirement: 5% employer contribution after one-year of full-time employment
