Making a Difference Award

The City of Portland honored L’Arche Portland with the 2012 “Making a Difference” in disability award. Commissioner Amanda Fritz and the Office of Neighborhood Involvement bestowed the award in recognition of L’Arche Portland’s “outstanding contributions that have helped improve the livability of Portland for all people with disabilities.”

Commissioner Fritz presented the award to representatives of L’Arche Portland at a Connecting Communities event on Tuesday, October 23, 2012.

It is a great gift to have our community’s impact recognized by the City of Portland. L’Arche Portland remains committed to making a difference within our city by creating home and building community for and among people with and without developmental disabilities.
