Our family has served at L'Arche by performing upgrades and lawn maintenance at Nehalem House. In reality, however, the beautiful community has actually served us by letting us hang around.
When I think about L'Arche and the impact it has had on my life, it is for me very profound. Over 15 years ago, I was drawn into L’Arche Nehalem community by Ben Miller, a core member. Since then, I have moved from visiting with the community to active involvement on the board of directors. Before L’Arche, as I went through life, I would meet people with developmental disabilities and continue on my own journey. L’Arche changed everything for me.
