Current Job Opening: Community Coordinator

Overall Function

As a member of the Leadership Team, the Community Coordinator shares responsibility with the Community Leader/Executive Director for the overall growth and direction of L'Arche Portland. Guided by the mission and Charter of L'Arche, the Community Coordinator ensures quality of life for core members and assistants, supports community life in the homes, provides formation and supervision for assistants, and oversees management of the homes.

Requirements

  • Starting at 32 hours per week, transitioning to full time salaried position by July, 2012
  • Kaiser Medical and Dental insurance effective the 1st of the month following the date of hire. L'Arche Portland pays 100% of the premiums.
  • 128 hours Paid Time Off (PTO) the first year of employment; 40 hours paid for retreat each year.

 

Location

L'Arche Portland has two homes and an office located in southeast Portland. The L'Arche office is located at 435 SE 85th Ave. Portland, OR 97216.

 

Start Date

Start date is January 15, 2012, or as soon as possible after the successful candidate is identified and reference and background checks are completed.
